About The Library Media Center
The Oliver Elementary Library Media Center is a very busy place. All classes visit the LMC weekly for a story-time and/or an information literacy lesson and to check out books.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist members of the OES community in becoming effective seekers and users of information, to foster a love of reading, and to build a foundation for lifelong learning.
In collaboration with the school’s learning community, the library will provide support for teaching and learning by providing access to a quality collection and technologies.
Our Schedule
Our library is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each class visits the library once a week for a 30-minute lesson and book exchange during these hours. Open Access is available daily from 2:00–3:00 p.m., allowing students to use library resources and receive assistance from the media specialist.

Mrs. Knoll, Media Specialist
I started my career by teaching third and fourth grade in Gwinnett County, Georgia. During my years as a classroom teacher, I developed a passion for our school media center. I found the media center to be beneficial to my young learners. They could gather and use information on any topic while developing a love of learning and reading. Therefore, I returned to school to obtain my masters degree in school media and technology. Afterwards, I accepted a library media specialist (LMS) position at Oliver and I have had the pleasure of guiding our wonderful students to find information and exciting books ever since! At home, I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and two sweet daughters!
