ACAP Practice Test

Our Blue Jays in grades 2–5 will take the ACAP Practice Summative assessments December 1–4, with students who have accommodations possibly testing the following week. These assessments help students practice for state testing and demonstrate the academic growth they’ve made this year. Academic achievement, growth, and attendance also contribute to our school’s report card grade, and we want our Blue Jays to show The Blue Jay Way!
Families can help make testing successful by:
- Encouraging your child and reminding them to do their best.
- Ensuring your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.
- Having car riders at school by 8:10 a.m. EST.
- Scheduling appointments and checkouts around testing whenever possible. Testing sessions cannot be interrupted.
- Sending wired earbuds or headphones to school.
- Keeping all electronic devices at home during testing, including phones, smartwatches, tablets, and wireless headphones, as required by state testing rules.
- FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT: Students shall not possess any digital device within the testing room when participating in the ACAP testing. The possession of a digital device by students participating in ACAP testing is strictly prohibited during the administration of an assessment. For the purposes of this policy, digital devices are defined to include anything that can capture, store, relay, or receive electronic information. If students are in possession of a digital device, whether powered on or off, during the administration of an ACAP assessment, the device will be confiscated, and the student’s test will be invalidated. If the appropriate administrator determines there is reasonable suspicion the device was used to capture, record, share test information, or to facilitate cheating on the assessment, the device will be subject to search, pursuant to LEA policy, for any information directly related to the assessment being administered. Violations may result in disciplinary action by the LEA in accordance with the LEA’s disciplinary policy.
